Install Starter Strip: "L" Channel may be used
to start the assembly by screwing to rim board. No. 6x1" or
No. 8x1.5" painted screws are recommended. |
Install UNI-DECK Planks: Snap the female side
of the UNI-DECK profile into the "L" starter profile. Screw
the flange to each joist in the groove provided using No. 10x1¼"
stainless screws. Do not over tighten. |

Snap the next plank in place. Adjust gap
between 1/32" - 3/16" wide. Screw the flange down to each
joist in the groove provided. No. 10x1¼" stainless screws are
recommended. Do not over tighten. |
Before snapping the last plank in place, cut the
flange off along the groove on the bottom side of the UNI-DECK
profile. Snap the last plank in and attach with "L" profile
with stainless steel screws. |

Note: The last deck plank may be cut lengthwise to a
smaller width if necessary. Measure the width from the female
side of the profile. Use a 1/2" drill to drill holes in top,
attach with 1¼" stainless screws and cap the hole with a grommet. |
Finishing Ends of Planks: The ends of the
UNI-DECK planks may be covered with the "C" or "L" channel. a
minimum of 1" overhang is required with the "C". Attach
channel using No.6 or No.8 painted screws (Maximum 3" overhang
recomended) |

12" Step Tread: Cut 12" UNI-DECK to tread
length allowing 1" overhang. (16" step stringer centers
recommended.) Cut flange off along the groove on the bottom side of
UNI-DECK profile. Use a 1/2" drill to drill holes in top,
attach with 1¼" stainless screws and cap the hole with a grommet. (2
screws per stringer recommended.) Finish end of planks
with either "C" or "L" channel. |
